Tips for a Happy Pothos 😊

Over the last 4 years I have cared for many plants... some made it, some didn't... either way, I have learned a lot and that is what counts!

Specifically, I have had two pothos plants. The first one was at the beginning of my becoming journey... I had left it against a window, overnight the window and plant got very cold, killing the plant... I was devastated and so upset with myself!

Little did I know, it was so I could learn and grow with how I care for plants

The pothos I have now, I have had for about two years; she is so happy and healthy!!

Most plants are far more durable and resilient than we think

I just tap in and flow with caring for the plants, now

So cool to experience the growth and progress!

Much more simple than I thought at the beginning!

The pothos pictured below is my baby!

About two-three months ago, I cut off some of her length, rooted the cuttings in water, and repotted them in the same pot on the other side to fill the overall plant(er) out

Isn't that so cool! Plants amaze me 🤩

I was inspired to write this post due to seeing several pothos plants outside in direct sun recently! Which, is a no go

Pothos love indirect, bright light... direct sunlight will fry the plants leaves and stems

I, fortunately, have a home filled with windows, so I just let my girl hang in our living room and open the blinds throughout the day - perfectly happy plant!

I water my plant when she seems thirsty and fertilize when I feel it is time (not on a recurring schedule) - I make my own fertilizer by soaking cut up banana peels in water

Pothos are shade or indoor plants, that are very, very sensitive to cold/hot weather, so make sure you bring them inside during extreme weather!
